Now that the Southern Highway is almost paved to Punta Gorda it is less than four hours driving from either Belize City or San Ignacio. The regular bus takes around seven hours from Belize City and the new express service takes only five hours.

Tranquility Lodge is located seven miles form Punta Gorda , 300 yards off the Southern Highway at Jacintoville. Driving from the north turn right at the south end of the big bridge over Jacinto Creek; look for the signs at the junction of the road to San Felipe/Barranco. Travelling by bus the conductor will know where to let you off and it’s only four minutes walk, along a private, palm-lined driveway.
